Festival of Colors

4 March 2023 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM JIDA KANPUR Event

JIDA students celebrated the festival of colors, Holi, in a grand manner on Saturday, March 4. The students organized a Holi party on the campus premises and invited their peers to join in the celebration.

The campus was decorated with vibrant colors, balloons, and streamers, creating a festive ambiance for the occasion. The event began with the games and dances which was followed by the exchange of sweets and greetings.

The students then immersed themselves in the festive spirit by playing with flowers and dancing to lively music. They smeared each other with bright flowers and enjoyed the traditional Holi delicacies like gujiya and other sweets.

The celebration was not limited to just the students, as the faculty members also joined in the fun. The JIDA director, Mr Amardeep Singh, praised the students for organizing such a joyful and inclusive event that brought together the entire campus community.

He said, "Holi is a festival that celebrates unity and togetherness, and it's heartening to see our students and faculty coming together to celebrate this occasion. It's a great way to foster a sense of community and camaraderie on campus."

The Holi party at JIDA was a huge success and provided a much-needed break for the students amidst the stress of their academic schedules. It was a reminder of the importance of celebrating our cultural heritage and coming together as a community to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
